I'm writing this to clear away the last journal entry, which was pretty negative and entirely necessary.
Yeah, so I've just realized I've been using dA for three months (roughly) now. And that is so amazing to me, because it seems like years, and I can't imagine how the hell I managed for so long without it. Why did I bother doing anything when only a few people would ever see it? It wasn't just for the pleasure of creating art... So I don't know...
I definitely know that I love this site! I feel like I've improved so much as an artist in such a short space of time ~ I have work in the pipeline right now (around 30 odd pieces actually) that I'm actually genuinely proud of.
First I was obsessed with making things that were so technically perfect my eyes would explode every now and then while I was painting, and even then I wouldn't take a break but would carry on with exploded eyes.
It's NOT about that.
Now I'm obsessed with painting because it's fun, and it makes me feel good when it looks good
Maybe when it becomes more than a hobby (commissions, anyone? ) I'll find I need to strike a happy balance.

Anyway, so in general, yaaay...! And thanks to everyone who takes the time to look at my stuff, and to everyone who posts stuff themselves, because I get to look at it
